Privacy protection and GDPR

Private data should remain with the customer. Vendors’ insight into their customers’ business needs to be protected

OmniCrane fully complies with the GDPR directive for all customers and users. In accordance with GDPR, we are required to receive the end user’s agreement through the individual Organization that manages the access, repairs and removal of the customer data in question. OmniCrane takes a minimalist approach to working with data, based on the principle of aggregated metadata.

Hand in hand with the OmniCrane strategy, our agile team and technological stack differentiates between people (Workgroups vs Access Rights) and their tools and processes, ensuring maximum confidentiality, accessibility and integrity of data. We use CRISP-DM, DMBoK, COBIT methodologies for data backup and recovery, managing access and secure operation. Our conceptual, logical and physical data models operate with explainable artificial intelligence (xAi) and Data Lineage.

We separate customer and user data based on unique identifiers. We encrypt and manage access

For data storage, OmniCrane uses databases hosted in AWS-type cloud - Heroku. Detailed legal disclosure of this cloud provider is available on their website. The separation of customer data of the individual organisations and users follows some of the best known guidelines for designing multi-tenant SaaS apps, where data ownership is always tied to a specific user and organisation separated within their IDs. For accessing data, we use authorization and authentication based on a time-limited “token”. Data contained on the disk is encrypted with up-to-date AES and TLS standards.
